Where have I been...?
I know it’s been quite a while since I’ve made my last blog post. No excuse for that, really. I will attempt to be better at that this year. It’s my New Year’s resolution this month.
There have been lots of changes around the Statusfirm office over the past year, and it’s taken a lot of work to ensure that we’re ready for the next stage of our business. We finished 2008 with a new corporate structure for our entertainment properties (CurlTV.com, TheEnergyNews.com and RawVegas.tv). They are now standalone companies with other partners involved that will set the stage for growth while helping the Statusfirm management to focus on the goal of developing & marketing our technology. The entertainment properties were invaluable in providing a proving ground on which our Core products were born and fostered into a mature platform. For that, they have earned our loyalty and energy to see them grow even more.
Last year, Statusfirm released the Core Nucleus platform, followed by Core Standard and Core CFB. These products (as many of you know) covered a wide spectrum of media management capabilities, primarily focused on video management and the tools needed for enterprise to manage and publish that media.
In 6 weeks Statusfirm will launch a new set of Core products: Core Catalyst and Core CFB. These products will now be built on the Core Framework and reside in the Core Unlimited cloud. There is a lot of excitement around this launch, as now our Core products have evolved into the Software as a Service (SaaS) space. We have channel partners across North America that will be bringing the product to market, and we have some very large clients (that we will soon announce) and we can now offer the entire spectrum of Web 2.0 solutions to both the smallest and largest organizations in the world.
It’s hard to explain just how far we have come in our few short years in a simple Blog... but if you keep watching you’ll see some very interesting things unfold!
On another note, I have to mention this awful economy... although I hate to, as I am quite tired of the negativity floating around the world right now. Our lives have all been turned upside down over the last half-year and the way we do business has changed. Statusfirm will not only survive this economic mess, we will prosper. We have never been in a better position. We build solutions that reduce carbon footprints, saves industry money, and makes knowledge more accessible with a simple computer. We are an example of the next generation of business communication and, as the world take its new form, we are certain to be part of its new infrastructure.
Until next time,
CT
